Induction: for new starters – Enhanced: As previous and additionally half day / 3 hours every two years
For members of staff in regular direct contact with children supporting the pastoral system in schools including middle leaders
- Identify key concepts of safeguarding and child protection

Advanced – 1 day/ 6 hours every two years
DSL/DDSL/SLT – for staff who potentially need to contribute to assessment, planning, intervening and reviewing the needs of CYP and their families where there are safeguarding concerns

- Defining safeguarding, personal values regarding abuse and the impact on professional practice
- Vulnerable children
- Influencing factors of abuse

Specialist
For those with specific and particular responsibilities within school/organisation for certain areas, this may be medical needs or SEND for example. Other areas of specialist training can be delivered according to the needs of the school/organisation or local area for example:
