Pioneer Educational Trust is a fantastic place to work. Throughout my time working with the Trust, I have been well supported to undertake my role and to grow and develop as a school leader. I have experienced unrivalled professional development and opportunities to make contributions beyond my school, to benefit the community and the educational system more widely. Pioneer is a deliberately developmental organisation that habitually pioneers new approaches, is future-focused and empowers all staff to grow in myriad ways. The best thing about working at Pioneer Educational Trust is the collaboration and family feel: we are human-centred and put individuals and teams, including their wellbeing, at the heart of all we do. This includes, for example, positive attitudes towards flexible working, professional learning and sustainable change. Pioneer is truly committed to enabling every child and every member of staff to thrive – and that is why I love being part of our Trust!
Working at Pioneer Educational Trust has been the most transformative experience of my career in education. As a professional, I have always strived to be the best version of myself professionally but at Pioneer Educational Trust I have been enabled to grow professionally but also challenged to be the best version of myself personally, both inside and outside of school. The Trust invests in all staff to recognise themselves as leaders and affect change, instead of trying to mimic the way others lead. I have been entrusted to lead authentically and am recognised for my unique strengths that contribute to a diverse and outstanding team. Pioneer Educational Trust truly embodies its ethos: to pioneer, to collaborate, to invest and to drive equality and the impact of that ethos can be seen in the staff and students within our family of school.
Working with Pioneer Educational Trust supports and challenges me as a professional. The collaborative environment in which we work has allowed me to learn from some incredible individuals across the Trust and to develop in my role. I have been granted opportunities to challenge myself through heat experiences which have allowed me to progress. It is my experience that Pioneer employees are treated with equity and kindness that goes above and beyond what is seen at other Trusts, for example the pioneering work that has been done around flexible working and the benefits that are afforded to staff. Working at Pioneer, I am respected and valued as an individual which keeps me motivated towards our shared values and aims within the school and the Trust.
I have worked for Pioneer Educational Trust for 5 years and it has been a truly enriching experience. The organisation offers myriad opportunities to develop and has supported me in taking personal responsibility for my own professional growth. In my role, every single day offers a challenge and learning opportunity and this has enabled me to progress into the type of leader I have strived to become. To support exceptional continual professional development and learning for all staff, Pioneer Educational Trust provides time for meaningful and collaborative CPDL leading to enhanced learning for all. A culture that includes ring-fenced, frequent and regular periods of time dedicated to improving practice are an essential ingredient of a self-improving Trust. Pioneer considers its people as their most valuable resource and subsequently they are afforded the time to learn and develop in order to be the best they can possibly be. As a flexible working ambassador school, the Trust has been an innovator in flexible working opportunities for staff and continues to develop as a fully inclusive organisation. I feel highly valued as a member of the organisation and inspired to make best use of the professional development opportunities that lay ahead!
