I have worked with the trust since November 2016, when Trevelyan Middle School became a part of the Pioneer Educational Trust family. At the time, I was a unit manager in the catering department.

My background is across many catering companies as a cook. I have trained many members of staff to become unit manager. I was based at Trevelyan for almost 16 years. I am also a mother of two children, 20 and 19, and together we traveled the world with the British Army.

I became the Trust’s catering department manager in June 2019.

I enjoy being a part of a ‘well organised’ team. I really like the fact that the trust invests time in their employees, gives them chances to blossom and supports them in achieving their own individual goals.

Inspired by my grandmother, with whom I spent most of my childhood, I learnt to cook from a very young age. Growing up I always wanted to play sport; (football, netball and athletics were top of the list) but injuries stopped that from happening early on. Since then, cooking has always been a passion and cooking for children is very rewarding.

I am a massive football fan. Arsenal FC – never miss a game.
