Upton Court Grammar School is proud to announce the launch of its new Strategic Development Plan (SDP) for the period of 2024-2027. This comprehensive plan aims to enhance the educational experience and outcomes for all students while positioning our school as a leader in innovative and inclusive education.
Over the past three years, we have made significant strides in supporting our students to thrive on four different levels: intrapersonal, interpersonal, societal and global. These efforts were highlighted in our ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report in November 2022, which found we had ambitious priorities and were resolutely focused on providing a world-class education. Our new plan aims to build on these efforts, ensuring every student can reach their full potential.
Our priorities for the next three years are:
- Unity: To foster a culture of unity and belonging, enabling students to thrive as engaged citizens.
- Curiosity: To design and deliver an innovative curriculum that sparks curiosity and creates future global changemakers.
- Growth: To provide a responsive, inclusive education that promotes students’ growth as successful, independent learners.
- Service: To serve our community by strategically investing in staff development that cultivates an exceptional learning environment.
Upton Court Grammar School ensures all students fulfilled their academic and personal aspirations and thrive as successful and engaged citizens by the time they leave our school. Our new SDP sets the stage for achieving a transformative and impactful educational journey for our students. It also emphasises the development of the knowledge, skills and value our students will need to make a positive impact on the world as the Future Global Changemakers we aspire for them to be – the next generation of leaders who are prepared to address global challenges with creativity, empathy and determination.
Our SDP is the result of extensive consultation with all stakeholders, including teachers, parents, students and community leaders. Their valuable feedback and insights have been instrumental in shaping a plan that is boldly ambitious, achievable and aligns with the needs and aspirations of our school community. We will continue to keep our stakeholders updated with our progress on this plan.
